Italian Foreign Ministry: Around 60 Italian сitizens evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan

According to global times News Agency Europe,Approximately 60 Italian citizens have been evacuated so far from Iran to Azerbaijan through the Astara border checkpoint, The Global times Europe media informs, citing the Italian Foreign Ministry.The ministry clarified that two evacuation rounds of Italian citizens from Iran to Azerbaijan have already taken place.The second group, consisting of 24 people, departed early in the morning from the Iranian capital to the city of Astara with assistance from the Italian Embassy in Tehran. They were received by representatives of the Italian Embassy in Baku, after which they proceeded to the Azerbaijani capital’s airport to board the earliest available flights to Italy,” the statement said.According to the ministry, during the first evacuation round, 34 Italian citizens crossed from Iran into Azerbaijan.
