PESHAWAR:(Special Representative) According to Global times News Agancy Europe,Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education, Arshad Ayub Khan, chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the progress of functional outsourced schools in the winter zone and review preparations for the upcoming handover of summer zone schools. The meeting was attended by Secretary E&SE Muhammad Khalid, Special Secretary (Development), Education Advisor ESRU, Managing Director ESEF, and other senior officials.Additional Secretary (Reforms & Implementation) briefed the participants on the progress achieved in the functional outsourced schools of the winter zone and informed the forum about the arrangements for the smooth transition and operationalization of summer zone schools in the next phase. The meeting also reviewed the proposed policy framework to further strengthen governance, transparency, and implementation of the outsourcing programme.The forum was informed that the functional outsourced schools in the winter zone have recorded an encouraging around 300% increase in student enrolment, reflecting growing public confidence in the initiative and improved access to quality education.Speaking on the occasion, Minister Arshad Ayub Khan appreciated the progress made so far and directed all concerned departments to ensure timely completion of preparations for the summer zone schools. He said the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains committed to improving educational outcomes, expanding access to quality education, and providing better learning opportunities for children across the province through transparent and effective reforms.
