ISLAMABAD:(Special Representative)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,Chairman of the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Akmal, visited the Institute of Space Technology (IST), Islamabad, accompanied by a distinguished Chinese delegation, to explore the institute’s cutting-edge research facilities and strengthen prospects for bilateral scientific and technological cooperation. The visit wast hosted by Dr. Munawar Shah with other professors. During the visit, the delegation held a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of IST, representatives of the Space Society IST, and senior faculty members of the university. Prof. M. Akmal urged the IST faculty to benefit from skills of Chinese counterparts and ensure the support of PSF as facilitator. The delegation visited NCGSA, NCFA, Space Observatory and Biomedical engineering lab at IST. The discussions focused on identifying opportunities for future collaborative ventures, joint research initiatives, academic partnerships, and innovation-driven projects aimed at advancing science and technology.The visit highlighted the shared commitment of Pakistan and China to fostering research excellence, promoting knowledge exchange, and expanding institutional collaboration in key areas of science, technology, and space research. Both sides expressed optimism about developing long-term partnerships that would contribute to scientific advancement and capacity building in the region.
