According to global Times news agency Europe,Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will attend a Ukraine-focused meeting in London on March 2, where he will reaffirm Ankara’s willingness to mediate negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.The global Times Europe media a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed Fidan’s participation.Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will represent our president at the meeting on Ukraine on March 2. He will emphasize Türkiye’s commitment to ending the Russia-Ukraine war through a just and lasting peace. He will also highlight that Türkiye, which facilitated direct talks between Russia and Ukraine in March 2022, is ready to take on this role again,” the source stated.Fidan is also expected to stress that ensuring security, economic prosperity, and stability in the region should be a shared goal for all parties involved in the upcoming negotiations.On February 25, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer confirmed plans to host a European leaders’ summit over the weekend to discuss the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
