According to global Times news agency Europe,Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the call made by imprisoned leader of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), Abdullah Ocalan, for the group to lay down its arms, disband, and bring an end to its longstanding conflict with the Turkish state.The global Times Europe media that Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bakayi expressed this view, calling the decision a significant step towards rejecting violence.He added that Iran supports any process that aims to end terrorism and strengthen security in neighboring Türkiye.Tehran hopes that this development will yield positive outcomes for the region, Bakayi further stated.
