ABSM Foundation is actively engaged in relief activities for flood victims. – Safdar Khan Baghi

Philanthropists, business community, and overseas Pakistanis should deliver their Zakat, charity, and donations to the flood victims. – Chairman ABSM Foundation

Peshawar (Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, Chairman of ABSM Foundation, Safdar Khan Baghi, along with his sincere foundation team, has been continuously engaged in relief activities for the flood victims of Malakand Division in Peshawar for the past one month. He said that so far, our foundation, on a self-help basis, has collected and sent ration and food supplies for more than four hundred affected families. Before this, ABSM Foundation had also provided aid for flood victims from Nothia, Peshawar. Moreover, on 29th August, under the leadership of Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Secretary for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Nadeem Ashraf, Secretary of Workers Welfare Funds Zulfiqar, Provincial President Intikhab Chamkani, and senior leader Awlaiz Khan, relief checks amounting to approximately 150 million rupees were distributed among the victims.

On this occasion, Chairman Safdar Khan Baghi said that this is the time for national unity. We should not leave our Pashtun brothers, sisters, elders, and children alone. Philanthropists, business community, and overseas Pakistanis should generously deliver their Zakat, charity, and donations to the flood victims.

Chairman Safdar Khan Baghi has already visited the relief camps set up for the flood victims in various parts of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where, together with Khidmat-e-Khalq and other registered civil society welfare organizations, he is also participating in relief activities. The humanitarian Chairman of ABSM Foundation, Messiah Safdar Khan Baghi, along with his entire team – including General Secretary Arshad Khan, Finance Secretary Samira Khanam, Anwar Alam Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Sohail Khan, Muhammad Sudais Khan, Hisham Usman, Fauzia Khanam, Elyan Khan, Dad Sher, and other volunteers – has been continuously distributing food items, ghee, flour, sugar, black and green tea leaves, milk, dry bakery products, and other essential goods in the affected areas for one month.

ABSM Foundation Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in the past as well, provided ration packages to about two to two and a half thousand families of flood victims during the 5th October Mansehra Earthquake (2005), Regi Palosi Peshawar Flood (August–September 2009), Nowshera & Charsadda Floods (14/06/2010), Dengue Epidemic (August–September 2015–16), Polio & other vaccination campaigns, Corona Global Pandemic (March 2020), and the July 2022 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa flood-affected areas including Mingora Swat, Nowshera, Charsadda, and Azakhel. And Insha’Allah, ABSM Foundation Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, driven by the spirit of serving humanity in welfare activities of human rights, has always stood shoulder to shoulder in the service of distressed humanity, especially the oppressed, helpless, destitute, orphaned widows, and white-collar people, and will continue its humanitarian service in the future as well.
