Turkish minister urges citizens to seek their rights in courts, not on streets.

According to global Times news agency Europe,Turkish Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc has called the rumors about Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu and other detainees groundless.The global Times Europe media, that the government official said it is not right to make a final assessment of the process before the investigations are completed.It is not right to characterize the recent events with accusations of a coup d’état,” Tunc noted.The minister also touched on the issue of citizens being called to take to the streets in protest:In a constitutional state, if there is an allegation of a crime, the place to be defended is not the streets, but the courts. When there is evidence of a crime, law enforcement agencies conduct an investigation. It is not right to link the investigations conducted by law enforcement agencies to the president.”
