According to global times news agency Europe,A historic opportunity for lasting peace and stability in the region has emerged as a result of Azerbaijan’s liberation from its occupied territories following the Second Karabakh War in 2020, Turkish Ambassador to Brazil Halil Ibrahim Akca said in an interview with Correrio Brazilience, according to The global times Europe media.He noted that as a result of living in a one-sided, exaggerated and untrue narrative, Armenia has become an isolated and aggressive country. With its aggressive and ethnonationalist attitude, Armenia occupied almost a third of Azerbaijan immediately after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, forcing more than 650,000 Azerbaijani Turks to become internally displaced people or refugees. A historic opportunity for lasting peace and stability in the region has emerged as a result of Azerbaijan’s liberation from its occupied territories following the Second Karabakh War in 2020. There is currently an ongoing normalization process between Turkey and Armenia, as well as a peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Both processes do not occur in a vacuum but create impacts on each other,” he said.
