*”The Companions (RA) are those great personalities whom Allah the Almighty selected for the defense of Islam. Until today, no one has been able to make any kind of alteration in Islam. These are the blessed personalities who, by offering the sacrifice of their lives, delivered Islam to us in the form of flowers, gardens and fragrance. If we do not act according to the religion of Islam, then we are becoming the cause of taking this same garden toward fire and darkness.”*
*Ameer Abdul Qadeer Awan, Sheikh of Silsila Naqshbandia Owaisiah and Head of Tanzeem-ul-Ikhwan Pakistan, addressed at the two-day monthly spiritual assemblage.*
He said that "where heads are being severed, to stand upon the truth and to keep one’s focus on one’s purpose is a very great task. To say it is one thing, but to go through such a situation, its condition is something else. Fortunate are those personalities who were granted this realization, whom Allah the Almighty chose for the service of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. These are the personalities whose happiness became linked with the happiness of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. The implementation of the Holy Prophet ﷺ ‘s command became their purpose. The axis of life itself became the Holy Prophet ﷺ’s noble self. Ghazwa-e-Uhud is such a place where, upon Allah SWT’s command and upon the gesture of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, there were also those present who offered the sacrifice of their lives, hypocrites were also present there, and disbelievers were also present there. In one and the same field everyone was present, but the mentions of those who sacrificed their lives for Islam will continue until the Day of Judgment.”
He further said that "The personalities of the Companions (RA) are the milestones until the Day of Judgment. In every era, an attempt has been made to raise objections on the Companions (RA) so that people also object to them. Efforts have continued to keep people away from the facts. Centuries have passed but no one has been able to make any alteration in the religion. Allah accepted these personalities for the defense of the religion. Despite the claim of faith, we have fallen into so much division that we are becoming enemies of each other’s lives. Someone is committing oppression in the name of establishing justice, someone is spreading chaos in the name of demanding justice. Today’s intellectuals say that we were defeated in Ghazwa-e-Uhud. What kind of war is this in which the disbelievers neither achieved their objectives nor did they leave the field and flee? They were pursued for two days. The blessed shrines of the martyrs are still present today in the field of Uhud, and our thinkers say that the Muslims were defeated. Strange thing. If only we too were granted these levels of faith, then we would be free from being at the mercy of the disbelievers as we are today.”
