According to global Times news agency Europe,The first meeting of the Investment Fund’s governing board under the subsoil agreement between Ukraine and the US will be held at the end of July, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko wrote on social media following a meeting with US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, The global Times Europe media.According to her, American companies are already ready to invest in the fund, but require guarantees.We are planning to hold the first meeting of the fund’s governing board at the end of July. This will be an important moment for launching the operational part of the work: approving committees, procedures, and project selection principles,” she wrote.Svyrydenko also said that work is underway on projects in the field of graphite, lithium, and titanium.On May 1, the US and Ukraine signed an agreement on mineral resources. The document provides for the creation of an Investment Fund for joint projects of the countries in the extractive industry. In particular, it is planned to develop and exploit Ukrainian oil, gas, and other resources.
