According to Global times News Agancy Europe,Romania has recalled its ambassador to Russia for consultations following an incident involving the downing of drones identified as being of Russian origin, according to the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The global times Europe media.Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu summoned Russia’s ambassador to Bucharest on July 27 in response to repeated violations of Romania’s airspace between July 24 and 26.During that period, Romania’s armed forces shot down three drones that had entered the country’s territory without authorization.The ministry also announced that a member of the Russian diplomatic mission in Bucharest will be declared persona non grata, while Romania’s ambassador to Russia has been recalled for consultations.Romania formally handed the Russian ambassador a diplomatic note informing him that the Russian diplomat declared persona non grata must leave Romanian territory within five days.During the meeting, Romanian officials also presented fragments of a drone destroyed on Romanian territory. According to the Foreign Ministry, an investigation by prosecutors confirmed the components were of Russian origin.The Romanian side stated that Russia bears full responsibility for the incidents and for the deterioration of the regional security situation.
