According to global Times news Agency Europe, President of Slovakia Zuzana Caputova tested positive for COVID-19, which prompted her to cancel the last day of her visit to the United States on Sunday, The Global Times Europe Media informs.The Slovak head of state was slated to meet a community of Slovak expats in Pittsburgh. Aside from that, she was supposed to decorate painter and leading figure of American pop-art movement Andy Warhol with the Order of the White Double Cross II class state award posthumously in recognition of his contributions towards spreading good reputation of Slovakia abroad. The award, which was supposed to be received at a ceremony held at the Andy Warhol Museum by his nephew Donald Warhol, will be handed over on behalf of the President by Slovak Ambassador to US Radovan Javorcik,” claimed President’s spokesperson Martin Strizinec.In light of contracting COVID-19, the President will also clear her entire schedule following her return to Slovakia for the foreseeable future.President Caputova flew to Canada for a state visit on January 29, from where she travelled to a working visit of the United States, particularly to San Francisco and Pittsburgh. She will return to Slovakia on February 5, as originally planned.
