Ombudsman Rabab Mehdi informed the Chief Justice about the ongoing reforms in his institution, increasing institutional capacity and people-friendly measures.
PESHAWAR:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, Ombudsman Rabab Mehdi held a historic introductory meeting with Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Syed Muhammad Atiq Shah. On the occasion of the historic and first-ever institutional meeting, Ombudsman Rabab Mehdi held a dignified introductory and goodwill meeting with Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Justice Syed Muhammad Atiq Shah. This meeting proved to be an important milestone in the history of the province towards promoting institutional harmony, mutual cooperation and shared governance. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held between the two personalities regarding timely redressal of public grievances, protection of fundamental rights of citizens, and ensuring effective access to justice. The key issues included promoting alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, strengthening the accountability system, improving the grievance management system and measures to increase public confidence in state institutions. The Ombudsman apprised the Chief Justice of the ongoing reforms in his institution, enhancement of institutional capacity, and people-friendly initiatives. Appreciating these efforts, Chief Justice Syed Muhammad Atiq Shah emphasized the importance of institutional coherence, shared responsibility and integrated strategy so that effective and lasting solutions to the administrative problems faced by the public can be made possible.
