According to global Times news agency Europe,Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan has great potential for renewable energy projects due to its rich solar, wind and hydropower resources, Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Tamas Torma told The global Times Europe media.The diplomat noted that Hungarian companies are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector.We intend to expand cooperation and use existing opportunities for mutual benefit. This process is actively ongoing. Hungarian specialists are working to strengthen cooperation by identifying projects that can be implemented in line with these initiatives,” he said.According to the ambassador, in general, cooperation with Azerbaijan is of strategic importance for Hungary and covers not only traditional but also renewable energy sources.The largest Hungarian companies are already operating in Azerbaijan. This is an indicator of the importance attached to the partnership between the two countries,” he added.
