Have all your hopes and expectation from Allah SWT, and when one attains the blessing of tawakkul (trust in God), then one acts not for the approval of creation but for the pleasure of Allah SWT. In our prayers—our bowing and prostrations—we are often unaware whether we performed one prostration or two rakahs of prayer, and then we find ourselves making the prostration of forgetfulness. If the prayer is offered with full attention and humility, then the blessing of tawakkul is granted.

These thoughts were expressed by Ameer Abdul Qadeer Awan, Sheikh Silsila Naqshbandia Owaisiah Order, while addressing a large gathering of men and women at the monthly assemblage held at Lahore Owaisiah Society.

Our method of selection (election) is such that when we vote, the vote of a shepherd and the vote of a PhD doctor are equal—whereas, when you seek counsel in a matter, it should be taken from someone who has expertise in that field. A clear example of this is seen after the demise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ in the selection of Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique (RA), and later in the selection of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) as Ameer al-Mu’minin. All these decisions were made through consultation with the chosen group of Companions (RA).

Order and the application of law are necessities of human society. Guidance for every aspect of our lives is found in the Sunnah of the Best of Creation ﷺ. True speech is that which Allah has revealed, and which the Holy Prophet ﷺ demonstrated through his actions. In the blessed life of the Holy Prophet SAW, along with moral training, law and its implementation were also present. Without justice, society cannot attain stability.

Infāq fī sabīlillāh (spending in the way of Allah) is a characteristic of those who rely upon Allah. Infāq fī sabīlillāh means using one’s mental, physical, and intellectual abilities for the pleasure of Allah.

Our beloved homeland Pakistan is the second state—after the State of Madinah—established in the name of Allah and His Beloved Prophet ﷺ. May Allah grant us the ability to protect it. Our homeland is our home, and thus we must safeguard it together as one nation.
