DG NCHD Meets Minister for Education to Discuss Joint Initiatives for Out-of-School Children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Peshawar(Report by Fatima Jafar) According to global Times news agency Europe,Director General of the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), Mr. Ali Asghar, met with the Minister for Education, Mr. Faisal Khan Tarakai, today to explore collaborative efforts to address the issue of out-of-school children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The meeting was attended by Secretary Education Mr. Masood Ahmad, Special Secretary Education Mr. Qaisar Alam, NCHD Director Operations Mr. Anwar Iqbal, and Director Education Mr. Habib Ullah Khan.During the discussion, Mr. Ali Asghar highlighted NCHD’s recent digital survey in Swabi, which identified out-of-school children in the district. Secretary Education Mr. Masood Ahmad expressed keen interest in expanding this initiative to other districts through a door-to-door survey with NCHD’s support. It was agreed that both departments would work jointly to enroll out-of-school children into schools and ensure their access to quality education. Mr. Ali Asghar also briefed attendees on NCHD’s Each One, Teach One initiative, launched under the Prime Minister’s Education Emergency, aimed at increasing literacy across the province. The meeting concluded with a commitment to collaborative efforts between NCHD and the Department of Education to improve literacy rates and ensure that every child in the province has access to education.
