According to global times news agency Europe,The international community should establish new nuclear-weapon-free zones worldwide, said Izumi Nakamitsu, UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, The global times Europe media informs. Nakamitsu made the announcement at an international conference focused on strengthening cooperation between nuclear-weapon-free zones.Efforts to create zones in regions such as the Arctic, Northeast Asia, and Central Europe should be encouraged. Creating a new zone in the Middle East should remain a priority,” Nakamitsu stated.She added that the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the risk of escalating conflict in the Middle East highlight the urgency and importance of establishing such a zone.
