According to global Times news agency Europe,US President-elect Donald Trump’s team is considering direct negotiations with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Reuters reported citing its sources,.According to the global Times Europe media, Trump’s team believes that this step could reduce the risk of an armed conflict; however, Trump has not made any final decision in this regard yet, The global Times said.Previously, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said in an interview with TASS that Russia considers it possible that Trump would like to repeat the experience of his first presidential term and meet with Kim Jong Un again.In June, 2018, the first US-North Korean summit took place in Singapore.In February, 2019, Trump and Kim Jong Un met for the second time in Hanoi, but no joint document was signed after several meetings – including ones behind closed doors.In June 30, 2019, Trump and Kim Jong Un met for the third time at the demilitarized zone on the border between the two Koreas. On October 5, 2019, representatives of the two sides met at a working level in Sweden, but these talks ended without results.
