Punjab government’s schools progra
PSRP is nearing its end at the hands of PEF administration.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s claims of education-friendliness and providing employment to the youth in vain.
LAHORE:(Special Representative) According to Global times News Agancy Europe,Punjab Education Foundation implementing policy of removing five lakh children from schools
If immediate implementation and action is not taken, PSRP Lisensees will be forced to protest in front of the Chief Minister’s House. Union of Punjab Education Foundation PSRP Punjab Education Foundation’s policies for outsourced schools are based on extreme hostility towards education and increase in unemployment, which is tantamount to creating a regular front against Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s educational vision and providing employment to the youth. We warn the Punjab government to pay attention to our demands immediately, otherwise the educational future of several lakh children may be at stake due to PEF’s policies. These views were expressed by the leadership of Union of Punjab Education Foundation PSRP Partners in a statement. These officials have demanded from the Punjab Chief Minister in their statement that the Punjab Education Foundation has neither built any new room for us for schools with one, two or three room buildings nor has any funding been provided in this regard. We licensees have worked hard in schools and have admitted nearly 8 lakh new students across Punjab. Now the PEF officials have started forcing us through their monitors to definitely expel more children from schools than the number allowed in the rooms. The attitude of the regional directors is also very bad towards the licensees. We will only accept enrollment according to the existing infrastructure. In this regard, we partners have made written and verbal requests to the Minister of Education, Mr. Rana Sikandar Hayat, PEF Chairman Malik Shoaib Awan and MD Shahid Farid Sahib several times to allow us to rent a building, but no response is being given in this regard. Our second important demand is that in the name of physical verification, nearly five lakh children have been declared unverified through the traditional monitoring system of PEF, said the PSRP union. Now PEF authorities will not pay the licensees fees of these children. Despite of our many applications and concerns, the MD and directors of PEF not responded. Rather, the monitoring cell of PEF has completely ignored the previous two monitoring of the national institution NCHD. More than a year has passed but we have not been paid for new admissions yet. Due to the provision of necessary facilities and teachers for all these children, the majority of the licenses have now become indebted. In schools where the number is less than 100, 25 thousand to 50, 60 thousand are being given per month. How can schools be run with such a small budget? Schools with less than 100 students should be paid at least the same amount as 100 students so that these schools can also continue to function. We, PSRP partners from all over Punjab, demand immediate action not only from the Chief Minister of Punjab but also from other competent institutions of Pakistan to remove the current officers of PEF from their posts due to their irresponsible behavior and appoint a new and competent administration. If our demand is not met in time, we, 10,000 partners, along with the parents of children who have been declared unverified by PEF monitors and have deprived the partners of payment, will be forced to protest in front of the Chief Minister’s House.
