According to Global Times News Agency Europe,Warsaw is negotiating with Washington to relocate part of the production of Patriot air defense systems to Poland, Polish Deputy Minister of Defense Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka said, The Global times Europe media.She noted that the discussions have moved beyond political statements and are currently underway directly with industry representatives. According to her, a decision could be made in the coming weeks.Sobkowiak-Czarnecka explained that the talks concern locating part of the Patriot production chain in Poland amid a sharp surge in demand for the American air defense system across Europe.The growing demand for weapons is increasingly straining American production capacities. Manufacturers in the US are facing a growing volume of unfulfilled orders,” the deputy minister emphasized.Poland first officially proposed joint production of Patriot missiles with the US and Ukraine during negotiations in Washington in July. Warsaw is increasingly stating that large-scale arms purchases must be accompanied by technology transfers and the establishment of production in Poland as the country seeks to rebuild its domestic defense industry.
