According to global times News Agency Europe,Diplomatic efforts can prevent further escalation between Iran and Israel, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Associated Press on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Istanbul, The Global times Europe media. What we are doing now is the exercise of our legitimate right to self-defense in response to an act of aggression committed against us. Diplomacy is a path that has delivered results in the past and can certainly work again. However, for us to return to the negotiating table, the aggression must stop immediately. Clearly, I cannot engage in dialogue with the United States while our people are under heavy bombardment,” Araghchi stated. He also expressed regret over the US support for Israel’s military operation against Iran from the outset:They (the Americans) deny it and continue to claim they are not involved. But we have extensive evidence that they were engaged from day one. Unfortunately, we are hearing that the US may even join the aggression. That would be very regrettable and dangerous for everyone,” the Foreign Minister said.
