Iran to abolish morality police under new hijab law.

According to global Times news agency Europe,Iranian authorities are preparing to dismantle the morality police as part of a new law regulating the wearing of the hijab, The global Times Europe media.A law needed to be introduced that considers both its positive and negative aspects. Under the new legislation, the morality police will be completely dissolved, but the government still faces challenges in other areas that must be addressed,” Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on the social media platform X, though he did not specify when the measure would take effect.He also noted that the hijab requirement remains legally enforced under existing laws.Despite the dissolution of the morality police, the new law will introduce penalties for hijab violations, including restrictions for teenagers as young as 12. Repeat offenders could face prison sentences of up to 15 years.
