In compliance with the instructions from the Director General ACE Punjab

In compliance with the instructions from the Director General ACE Punjab Lahore and the Regional Director ACE Rawalpindi, a successful trap raid was executed by Mr. Mansoor Mazhar, CO/ACE Rawalpindi, following a complaint by Raja Muhammad Jahangir Khan. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Azmat Hayat, Judicial Magistrate, Section 30, Rawalpindi.

The complaint alleged that police officials Arshad and Asif had falsely implicated Raja Muhammad Jahangir Khan in a case at RA Bazaar Police Station, from which he was later acquitted. However, the accused officials began blackmailing him, threatening to blacklist him unless he paid Rs. 500,000. Raja managed to arrange Rs. 125,000, which he was unwilling to pay, and thus requested the trap raid.

During the raid, a sum of Rs. 125,000 was recovered from the accused at the spot. The involved police officials, Arshad and Asif, were apprehended.

An FIR (No. 07/24) has been registered at ACE Rawalpindi under section 161 PPC and 5(2)47 PCA.
