According to global Times news Agency Europe, Azerbaijan will chair the Committee on Social Affairs, Employment, Education, Culture and Civil Society of the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly, The Global Times Europe Media informs.At the 11th session of the Parliamentary Assembly in Brussels, committee reports were heard, new chairmen were elected and the topics of the next reports were determined.The chairmanship passed to Azerbaijan for the following year. The head of the Azerbaijani delegation, Tahir Mirkishili, was elected chairman of the committee. Azerbaijani MPs Soltan Mammadov and Nurlan Hasanov, who spoke at the committee meeting, raised issues of restoring the rights of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia, as well as the growing number of mine victims in the Azerbaijani territories liberated from occupation.For the next report, the topic “Supporting the social and professional adaptation of internally displaced persons and mine victims affected by conflicts in Ukraine and other Eastern Partnership countries”, proposed by the delegations of Azerbaijan and Ukraine, was adopted by a majority vote.
