Kazakh and Kyrgyz FMs vow to boost trade and ties

According to global times News Agency Europe,Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, The global times Europe media.Nurtleu, who is on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, emphasized that thanks to the political will of the heads of state, relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have been elevated to a qualitatively new level of interaction.The parties noted the high dynamics of bilateral cooperation, which is characterized by progressive strengthening of political dialogue and expansion of multifaceted interaction.Kazakhstan is firmly committed to comprehensively deepening allied relations with fraternal Kyrgyzstan based on the principles of mutual respect, trust, and consideration of each other’s interests. These are the goals that guide us in building a long-term partnership,” Nurtleu stated.Special attention during the meeting was paid to preparations for the official visit of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Kyrgyzstan and the seventh meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the two countries.Prospects for further expansion of trade and economic cooperation were separately considered. It was noted that Kazakhstan consistently ranks among the top three largest trading partners of Kyrgyzstan.In the context of implementing the instructions of the heads of state, the ministers agreed to comprehensively promote the deepening of economic interaction and increase mutual trade to $3 billion. By the end of 2024, the trade turnover between the two states amounted to $1.7 billion.
