According to global Times news agency Europe,Russian citizens can leave Iran by land through the Astara border crossing to Azerbaijan, reads a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, The global Times Europe media.Due to the closure of Iran’s airspace, Russian citizens can leave this country by land through the Astara border crossing to Azerbaijan. From Israel, they can leave for neighboring Egypt (Menachem Begin/Taba checkpoint) or Jordan (Sheikh Hussein Checkpoint),” the text says.The Russian Foreign Ministry "draws attention to the fact that due to the quarantine regime in Azerbaijan, the border with Iran is closed.” The diplomatic department recommends that Russian citizens in Israel and Iran not approach military and other government facilities.
