According to global Times news agency Europe,Armenia intends to continue its cooperation with the European Union’s civilian mission even after a peace agreement is signed with Azerbaijan, which will lead to the withdrawal of observers from the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The global Times Europe media , that Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, confirmed this during a recent statement, noting that Armenia is open to discussing a new mandate for EU observers. He emphasized that the partnership with the EU should not be limited to border issues.We can discuss a new mandate for the observers with the EU, and our cooperation does not necessarily have to be restricted to border-related matters. We can find the right model to continue working with European observers,” Hovhannisyan said.He also mentioned that the next round of negotiations with the EU regarding visa liberalization for Armenian citizens is scheduled for April.The next stage will take place from April 7–11, 2025, when the second delegation will arrive,” he added, without providing specific timelines for the completion of the talks, citing the "length of the process.”
