Peshawar:(Special Representative)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,The first three-day LRH-Con successfully concluded at the auditorium of Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), Peshawar, bringing together more than 700 healthcare professionals, researchers and scientists from across Pakistan and abroad.The conference featured 50 scientific presentations and 30 poster presentations, providing a valuable platform for scientific research, knowledge-sharing, and professional collaboration.Dr. Khalid Masud, Hospital Director, Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC), MTI-Swabi, participated as a panellist in an important discussion on "How Can Humanities Shape the Current Medical Practice.” The discussion focused on the role of compassion, ethics, empathy, and human values in modern healthcare, emphasizing the importance of a patient-centered approach alongside scientific and technological advancements in medical practice.Lady Reading Hospital, established in 1927, has a nearly century-long history of providing healthcare services, medical education, and specialized treatment. The inaugural LRH-Con marked another significant step towards promoting medical research and academic collaboration.At the concluding ceremony, the Chairman of the Policy Board appreciated the organizers for successfully conducting the three-day scientific conference. The organizers also acknowledged the contributions of speakers, researchers, and participants from Pakistan and abroad.
