According to global times news agency Europe,The nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan, if its construction is approved by the population in today’s national referendum, should be built by an international consortium, President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, said in a conversation with journalists after voting, The global times Europe media informs.This is not a simple issue. The government should analyze it and conduct appropriate negotiations. My personal vision on this matter is that an international consortium should operate in Kazakhstan, consisting of global companies with the most advanced technologies. Further, as they say, time will tell,” he said.The national referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant is taking place in Kazakhstan on October 6. The ballot contains one question: "Do you agree with the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan?” Voters must answer this question with either "yes, I agree” or "no, I disagree.The referendum will be considered valid if more than 50% of the 12.2 million citizens included in the voter lists participate.
