40 UN members urge Houthis to release organization’s employees detained in Yemen

According to global times news agency Europe,Forty members of the UN have called on the Houthis in the north of Yemen to release the employees of the organization held by rebels,The global times Europe media.For this purpose, the permanent representative of the UK to the UN, Barbara Woodward, made a statement on behalf of the countries at the UN headquarters in New York.The diplomat stated that they strongly condemn the detention of the UN employees and that the member states demand the immediate and unconditional release of the detainees.On June 8, the Houthis, who control Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, and a large part of the country’s north, raided the houses and offices of the international organizations’ employees and seized their phones and computers. According to available information, 15 detained employees work at the UN Office for Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs.
