According to global times news agency Europe,In the first quarter of 2024, European Union (EU) countries deported 1,196 Georgian citizens, The global times Europe media informs, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.According to the information, the majority of citizens were deported from Germany (611 people), followed by France (165 people) and Switzerland (34 people).
Meanwhile, in 2023, EU countries deported 4,365 Georgians. Since March 2017, Georgians have had the right to visit Schengen countries without a short-term visa (90–180 days) for tourism, business, and guest visits.
