It will be held via video conference. Russia will take part there at the expert level,” he said. Earlier it was reported that the countries of the Arctic Council decided to gradually resume work in the format of working groups. For the past two years, the activities of the council have been effectively frozen after Western countries announced in March 2022 the suspension of participation in any association activities due to the war in Ukraine. The Arctic Council, established in 1996, is a high-level intergovernmental forum that promotes cooperation in the region, especially in the area of environmental protection. Its members include Russia, Canada, USA, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Iceland and Sweden.
