According to global Times news Agency Europe, Co-founder of the IT company Synergy, Ashot Hovhannisyan, has been detained in Armenia in connection with the case of abuse of the Economy Ministry officials, The Global Times Europe informs.Former employee of the company Ani Gevorkyan, the wife of the brother of the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan, was also detained. About a year and a half ago, the company tried to take part in one of the tenders announced by the Ministry of Economy. However, the tender did not take place, but the case concerns precisely this failed tender. The documents were prepared by Ani Gevorkyan,” the article says. Hovhannisyan has dual citizenship – Armenian and the US. He is the father-in-law of TV presenter Lusine Tovmasyan.
