Italy:(International Desk) According to Global Times Media Europe, the Saudi Ambassador-designate to Pakistan, Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqmi, has arrived in Pakistan. Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqmi will assume his duties from Monday. Dr. Rajeh is among the Saudi ambassadors who have extensive experience in defense and security matters. Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqmi has served as a Major General in the Saudi Armed Forces. Dr. Rajeh’s extensive experience in the defense sector will be instrumental in further promoting strong Pak-Saudi security cooperation. Special Assistant to the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis for Italy, Ikramuddin, said in his congratulatory message that he congratulated Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqmi on his appointment as the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan and expressed his best wishes for him. He said that Dr. Rajeh’s appointment is significant in the context of the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Strategic Defense Agreement and the Mecca Defense Agreement. On the other hand, upon his arrival in Islamabad, Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqmi was welcomed by officials of the Pakistani Foreign Ministry and other officials of the Saudi Embassy.
