Dr. Umarzai has previously served at PIMS Hospital, Islamabad, where he held a key position, and has also performed responsibilities at important positions within the federal Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination.Public circles have described the placement of Dr. Fahd Khalid Umarzai in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a positive development, particularly in view of his professional experience and exposure to both healthcare administration and federal government affairs. He is the son of former Commissioner Mardan Khalid Khan Umarzai (late) and the nephew of former Inspector General Motorways and former Director General FIA Zafarullah Khan Umarzai.He is also the son-in-law of former Commissioner Hazara and SMBR Muhammad Akbar Khan.The Umarzai family has a long association with public, administrative and government service, and members of the family have held important responsibilities at various levels.
