University of Peshawar Hosts Qirat and Naat Competition on 12th Rabbi ul Awwal.
Peshawar:(Report by Fatima Jafar) According to global times News Agency Europe,The Department of Archaeology and Tourism & Hotel Management, University of Peshawar, organized a prestigious Qirat and Naat Competition at the SSAQ Museum on the eve of 12th Rabbi ul Awwal to mark the blessed occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).The event was graced by eminent personalities including Prof. Dr. Johar Ali, Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar as the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz, former Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology as Guest of Honor, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem Qazi, Pro-Vice Chancellor. Distinguished guest speakers included Prof. Dr. Muhammad Farooq Swati, former VC University of Swat, Dr. Zahir Shah, Chairman Department of Arabic, Dr. Muhammad Nawaz, Chairman Department of Islamiat, and Mr. Zeeshan Majeed, Deputy Director KP-CTA. The program was also attended by Dr. Zakirullah Jan, Chairman Department of Archaeology and Tourism & Hotel Management, and Dr. Asfandyar Khan, among others.The speakers highlighted the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH), emphasizing the life, teachings, and character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as the ultimate model and source of guidance for today’s youth.The event was jointly organized in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, Auqaf Department, Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Peshawar University Teachers Association (PUTA).Dozens of talented Qaris and Naat Khwans from the University of Peshawar, Jinnah College for Women, University Public School, University Model School, and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University participated in the event. The winners were honored with souvenirs presented by the Chief Guest.The event concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity, and unity, reaffirming the timeless relevance of the Prophet’s (PBUH) message of compassion, tolerance, and humanity.
