Senior Vice President of the party and Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain has issued a notification in this regard.

Rawalpindi:(Reporter Nazish Jabeen) According to Global Times Media Europe, the President of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has appointed Safdar Khan Baghi as the General Secretary of the party for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This appointment is effective immediately. Senior Vice President and Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain has issued a notification regarding this appointment. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain expressed his hope that Safdar Khan Baghi will serve the party even better in this new role compared to the past. Safdar Khan Baghi has previously served as the Information Secretary for Pakistan Muslim League in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It is noteworthy that after the martyrdom of his elder brother Local Mayor Asif Khan Baghi during General Musharraf’s era, Safdar Khan Baghi was elected unopposed as Nazim ( Local Union Council Mayor) of Nouthia in March 2007, and in 2010, he was mayor by former Lord Mayor Haji Ghulam Ali. Safdar Khan Baghi contested the Peshawar Lord Mayor election one-on-one against Awami National Party’s Muhammad Umar Mohmand and later won the District Council election for Nouthia Peshawar with a significant majority of around 3,670 votes in the 2015 local body elections. He also contested the provincial election later on. Safdar Khan Baghi joined Pakistan Muslim League (Q) in 2017 after resigning from his Peshawar District Council seat, which he had won from the platform of Awami National Party’s tripartite alliance, in accordance with local government laws. His political and social services are well known, and he is a such famous and beloved personality in Peshawar KP.
