Prime Minister’s Focal Person for Polio
Eradication Ayesha Raza Farooq met with Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Muhammad Fakhar Alam Irfan.
The meeting discussed in detail the ongoing efforts to eradicate polio in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Peshawar:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times News Agency Europe, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Muhammad Fakhar Alam Irfan met with Prime Minister’s Focal Person for Polio Eradication Ayesha Raza Farooq in Peshawar, in which a detailed discussion was held on the ongoing efforts to eradicate polio in the province. The current status of polio eradication, the results of the campaigns and the challenges faced were discussed in the meeting. The participants discussed in detail the micro-planning of anti-polio campaigns, integrated strategy, monitoring and quality of the campaign, and strategies to ensure access to every child. Detailed consultations were held on conducting a uniform and simultaneous anti-polio campaign in the entire province and this strategy was considered important for controlling the virus. The meeting reiterated the commitment that the complete eradication of polio is a national mission for which everyone has to struggle together and all resources will be utilized for this purpose.
