President of Tajikistan opens several
checkpoints on Afghanistan border.

According to global Times news Agency Europe, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon embarked on a working trip to the Khatlon region. The head of state began his visit to the region from the Farkhor region, where he inaugurated the building of the Kokul border checkpoint, built on the border with Afghanistan, The Global Times Europe informs. The Tajik president also commissioned border checkpoints in Lakhsh, Shamsiddin-Shakhin districts of the Khatlon region, Rushan, Ishkoshim, Murghab and Khorog. In total, 24 border checkpoints and 96 residential buildings for officers were opened on the border of Tajikistan.
Since September 2022, 78 new border facilities have been opened in Tajikistan, and all of them were put into operation in a short time.
