NATO’s new chief to assume office in October.

According to global times news agency Europe,The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has announced that its newly appointed Secretary General, Mark Rutte, will officially take office on October 1, 2023. Rutte, who previously served as the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, will lead the alliance for a five-year term.According to The global times Europe media, the decision to appoint Rutte as NATO’s new Secretary General was unanimously approved by all 31 member states in June 2024. He will succeed Jens Stoltenberg.
