Naples, 32-year-old arrested after
shooting in ex-girlfriend’s car on Christmas Day.
ROME:(International News Desk) According to global times News Agency Europe,In Naples’ Ponticelli neighborhood, at 5 p.m. on Christmas Day, a 25-year-old woman called 112, reporting hearing several gunshots. She said she had reviewed the video surveillance footage, installed for security and out of fear. She clearly identified the perpetrator as her ex-partner. The man, 32, had a relationship with her ex for about five years, resulting in the birth of two children: three and one and a half years old .The Carabinieri found two shell casings on the ground and two holes in the hood of the woman’s car. Officers from the Forensic Investigations Section also arrived on the scene and conducted technical investigations. There was no sign of the man.The woman was taken to the police station and reported her ex-partner, describing nearly two years of harassment against her. The victim stated that she had already reported him for stalking. In the previous days, a fake social media profile had also appeared, from which she received threats about possible damage to her car. The police investigation revealed that the man had numerous prior convictions for stalking and threats. He was also under a restraining order against the woman and her minor children. The Carabinieri analyzed video surveillance footage. A man took an object from his pocket and pointed it at the car before quickly driving away. A review of the footage and audio revealed at least four explosions.The Carabinieri began searching for the man and were vigilant for the woman’s safety. Throughout the evening, the search for the 32-year-old continued. They even went to his home, but the man was nowhere to be found. The judicial authorities ordered his arrest in flagrante delicto with a pre-trial detention order, and the search continued. On the morning of December 26th, the Carabinieri patrol patrolled the victim’s home while the other Carabinieri searched for the man. The woman was interviewed again and also reported physical violence and constant threats, many of which had never been reported before. This was in a climate of Camorra terror where the only right was to remain silent.The Carabinieri’s ad hoc operation paid off in the late morning. The man was located and captured at his home. During the search, clothing consistent with that worn by the individual captured on video was found and seized. The 32-year-old was arrested for stalking and subsequently transferred to prison.
