Israel recalls envoys from Türkiye to ‘re-assess’ relations.

According to global Times news Agency Europe, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen announced on Saturday that he has recalled the country’s diplomatic representatives from Türkiye in response to recent comments made by the Turkish president on the Gaza conflict, The Global Times Europe informs. In a post on the social media platform X, Cohen said he has ordered a recall of the diplomatic representatives from Türkiye in order to carry out a reassessment of relations with the country. Earlier Saturday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Israel was in "a state of insanity” in light of its offensive against the Gaza-ruling Hamas. Türkiye also hosts members of Hamas within its territory, as it sees Hamas as a legitimate political actor. Earlier this week, Erdogan canceled a planned visit to Israel. Türkiye, in the past few years, mended ties with Israel after years of tensions.
