IIUI Holds Governing Council Meeting
of IRD
Islamabad:(Special Representative)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,The Governing Council of the Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue (IRD), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), met at the Faisal Masjid Campus under the chairmanship of IIUI President and Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed.The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Najeeba Arif, Chairperson of the Academy of Letters; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Vice President, R&E, IIUI; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jamil, Vice Chancellor of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan; Prof. Dr. Salim Mazhar, Director General of the National Language Promotion Department (Muqtadra Qaumi Zaban); Mr. Nasir Farid, Additional Director, IIUI; and Mr. Muhammad Younus, Incharge Publications, IRD.The Council reviewed the Institute’s profile, its past performance and its forthcoming strategic plan. Members offered valuable suggestions on strengthening the Institute’s functioning and development, and on expanding its academic and international role, and provided guidance in setting its future priorities.
