IMF’s stringent conditions are causing
economic destruction and increasing public issues: Chairman
On one hand, the government talks about breaking the begging bowl, while on the other, it continues to take loans: Conversation
The increase in the country’s economic problems is due to the royal style of governance and the lack of business opportunities
Chairman of Mustaqbil Pakistan, Engr. Nadeem Mumtaz Qureshi, speaks on the approval of the $7 billion loan package from the IMF
Multan – Chairman of Mustaqbil Pakistan, Engr. Nadeem Mumtaz Qureshi, while speaking on the approval of the $7 billion loan package from the IMF, said that how long will Pakistan continue to advance on the crutches of foreign loans? The IMF loan program is not only destroying the national economy but also increasing public issues. However, instead of getting rid of these loans, the government is pushing the country and the nation further into the quagmire of debt. The irony is that despite the deteriorating economic conditions, no one cares about the public and the country; both the government and the opposition are only concerned with their own interests. Like previous governments, the current government also talks about breaking the begging bowl, but this does not seem possible because the rates of poverty, inflation, and unemployment are increasing with each passing day. Until these issues are addressed, Pakistan will not be able to stand on its own feet. He said that the primary reason for the increase in the country’s economic problems is the royal style of governance and the lack of business opportunities. If the government reduces its expenses and focuses on increasing employment opportunities in the country, the economic crisis can be controlled. Engr. Nadeem Mumtaz Qureshi also said that the increasing political instability in Pakistan is contributing to the problems. To overcome this, both the ruling and opposition parties need to set aside their differences and work together for the country’s development and prosperity.
