According to global Times news Agency Europe, The head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has arrived in Kyiv, The Global Times Europe informs. During the visit, she will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that she will speak in the country’s parliament.
The media note that the head of the EC arrived in Kyiv with positive news for Ukraine regarding the start of negotiations on accession to the EU.The heads of state and government of the EU at the summit in Brussels on June 23, 2022 approved the granting of candidate status to Ukraine and Moldova for membership in the community. To launch the corresponding negotiation process, countries need to fulfill a number of conditions, including reforms.
