EU intends to provide Armenia with
non-lethal weapons.

According to global Times news Agency Europe,The European Union intends to develop military-technical cooperation with Armenia and provide it with non-lethal weapons, EU Ambassador to Armenia Vassilis Maragos said.The Global Times Europe Media informs that speaking during parliamentary hearings on prospects and challenges of Armenia’s European integration, Maragos said the cooperation provides for significant support to be able to strengthen capabilities within the framework of the European Peace Mechanism.He reiterated EU’s full committment to stabilizing and resolving the situation in the region, including meetings organized by President of the European Council.
Maragos expressed confidence in the results of cooperation and stressed the importance of the EU-Armenia cooperation for the rule of law.He unveiled plans to sign a document with Armenia tomorrow in Brussels that will deepen cooperation within criminal cases and ensure high standards of personal data protection, judicial independence and the rule of law.
