According to global Times news Agency Europe, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will begin campaigning in January ahead of municipal elections on March 31, The Global Times Europe informs.The head of the Turkish state intends to hold large rallies in 50 provinces. The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), led by the president, will begin to deploy its election headquarters in the provinces from January 1. On January 15, Ankara is expected to unveil its lists of candidates for local government, including for the posts of mayors of major cities.
Erdogan will hold rallies in 50 provinces, and the largest campaign rallies are planned in 30 regional centers. He will also visit the provinces of the country affected by the February earthquake. In Ankara and Istanbul, the election headquarters intends to traditionally hold more rallies with the participation of hundreds of thousands of people.
