EBRD eyes investing about 500M euros
in Armenian economy this year.

According to global times news agency Europe,This year, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) plans to invest about 500 million euros in the Armenian economy, EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso said at the annual meeting of the bank, which this year is being held in Yerevan, The global times Europe media informs.She noted that the bank intends to sign eight agreements on credit lines with the private sector of Armenia within the annual meeting.
The EBRD intends to continue to support the financial sector, including through the implementation of programs to develop the capital market in the country. It is planned to intensify advisory support to the investment council under the government of the country.In total, excluding the loan agreement on the North-South highway (236 million euros), the bank’s total investments in Armenia amounted to slightly more than 2.1 billion euros.
