According to global Times news Agency Europe, The Czech Foreign Ministry confirmed the detention of a Czech citizen and noted that the Czech embassy in Baku is now seeking a consular visit, Ministry Spokesperson Mariana Wernerova said, The Global Times Europe Media informs.We confirm the detention of a Czech citizen. The reason for the detention is an illegal border crossing,Wernerova said. She added that the country’s foreign ministry is in contact with his family. On February 3, a citizen of the Czech Republic, having passed the zone mined by the Armenian side, moved to the territory of Azerbaijan, where he was detained by the Azerbaijani military. On the same day, the Czech Consulate in Azerbaijan was informed about the incident. The State Security Service of Azerbaijan opened a criminal case regarding the incident, and operational and investigative measures are ongoing.
