Italy(International Desk) According to Global Times Media Europe, a migrant boat capsized near the island of Lampedusa, Italy, resulting in the death of 26 people. Foreign media reports state that the boat, carrying over 90 individuals, overturned near Lampedusa. According to the report, 26 people died in the incident, and there are fears of more casualties. A rescue operation is underway to save lives.
Foreign media also reported that 60 people were rescued, including 56 men and 4 women. The report mentions that the passengers had begun their journey from Libya, but their nationalities have not yet been confirmed.
